Since some of these files were made many years ago, they may no longer be compatible with current OS versions, or require adjustment to get working on current OS versions. Some might freeze your computer or otherwise crash QC - or just work fine (be wary of anything using OpenCL kernels or Apple's Mesh Creator).
If a GLSL shader that's attached to a stock Video patch doesn't yield image, you can place a Core Image kernel in between, to set the texture attributes correctly and yield correct output in the shader. Some ideas may have also been experimental, or better ideas have since taken their place, so keep that in mind.
