FilterViewer is an application that allows one to run "qtz file"/Core Image based Image Filters, get a feel for their look, and save pictures of the results.
To call up it's special features, go to the FilterViewer menu and select parameters, or press ⌘i.
-FilterPath: Drop the path of your test Image Filter into this field. For example, try any of the pre-installed filters that are available in /System/Library/Compositions, or any of the myriad of Image Filter protocol qtz compositions available via the internet.
After dropping file path, press Enter!
-Video or Still?: This allows one to choose the default Video device as an image source, or use a still image (jpg, png, tiff, etc.).
-Still: Drop your still image files here to allow the filter to process them.
-InputY: This is a control for Image Filters that have an Input Y option.
-InputX: This is a control for Image Filters that have an Input X option.
-Amount: This is a control for Image Filters that have an amount option.
Note: There are infinite possible parameters for Image Filters. Right now, only Input Y, Input X, and amount parameters are supported, as this is meant to be a simple app.
-CaptureVideo: This will turn off (or on) your default Video feed. It is enabled when the app opens.
-WriteImage: Checking this option will save a .png image of the current filter output to the location written in "WritePath". To save multiple images, uncheck and re-check box.
-WritePath: Use this to choose the location of any pictures you save.
